Tamer Hosny gets one year imprisonment with suspension
Two days ago the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced Tamer Hosny to one year imprisonment with suspension, after charging him with forging a graduation certificate from the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, and another from the Faculty of Commerce, Mansoura University.
In her defense of Tamer, Lawyer Howayda Mostafa said, “Tamer is innocent because he did not know the truth of these forged certificates”. Tamer then cried bitterly and loudly asked the press photographers not to take his photos; upon which the judge prohibited photographing inside the court.
The session was attended by Nasr Mahrous, producer and director, Zeina, Ahmed Adel, music distributor, along with Tamer’s family. After the hearing of the sentence, the court was filled with cheers and applause, while Tamer kept thanking God for his deliverance.
Two months ago, Tamer was sentenced to one year in prison by the military court, along with singer Haitham Shaker, after charging them with forging certificates of completion of the military service. Both of them are now passing the sentence period in the military prison.
