Latifa appeal through American channel PBS Recording "Courageous stand" & distributing it in America and Europe Latifa wanted PBS cameras to be present for the recording of her latest patriotic song Courageous stand that was recorded August 1, 2006. The song is for Lebanon and how the current issue or any crisis won't be able to destroy the Lebanese people because they are the brave and the people of strong well who are not afraid of any enemy. The American channel focused on how the Arab artists are facing so much difficulties and how they are not able to help or to sing for their own lands and countries. PBS witnessed how the artists are working via-emails and phone calls because they can not reach each other to work in the same studio. The music for the song was sent from Beirut electronically by composer Wajdi Shia to Latifa, in Cairo, to put her voice on it and send it back to Beirut for editing and remixing of the music.
Latifa spoke to the Channel and the American people with courage and boldness about President George Bush and his administration's policy towards everything that is Arab and how the American government is always giving the green light, supplying proscribed weapons, to Israel terrorist to kill the Arabs children, women and elderly.
Addressing the American people, Latifa said that the Arab nation is a nation of peace. The Arab land is the cradle of Arab prophets of peace from Musa and Issa to Mohammed to pray for peace, and that the Arab peoples are subjected to a terrorist attack from the U.S. which claims to fight terrorism, while it supports Israel slaughter of the children in Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq. Latifa launched a campaign to collect donations from the American people and European to the Lebanese people, by recording a word in Arabic, English and French to include it in the beginning of her latest patriotic song, courageous stand. Shortly the documentary film will be broadcasted complete, without any editing, on PBS channel which is estimated to reach 99% of American households. PBS has concluded with Latifa a contract under which the channel now have the right to reproduce CDs of Latifa patriotic songs including the recent song Courageous stand in USA and Europe, that profits will go for assisting the Palestinian people and for the aide of the Lebanese people. PBS will also broadcast most of Latifa patriotic songs with a textual interpretation added to each of the songs.
