(The US in chinese= mei guo right?) so, mei=beautiful right?

i guess its ni shi duo mei=你是多美

shang means over ,hai means sea,so shanghai is over the sea
bei means north jing means capital in old chinese,so its the capital in the north
japan is "ri ben"
ri is the sun,u know the flag of japan ,theres a sun
and the "ben",i believe its translated by sound "japan"

"Etre" means "to be"

In english you say :

I am
You are
(He , she , it) is
You are
They are

It's real that the form doesn't change.
In french you find :

Je suis
Tu es
Il/elle est
Nous sommes
vous etes
ils sont

In french the pronunciation and the verb forms are plural , cuz french has been developped trought time! ^^
